Quick, easy way to finish drip cakes

Drip cakes might look easy to decorate – how hard can it be to dribble chocolate over something? – but take it from us and our many smeared, drizzle-on-one-side, downpour-on-the-other disasters: it’s harder than it looks.

First, you have to melt chocolate, or whisk up the ganache, making sure it’s the right consistency – too runny and it goes everywhere, too firm and it goes nowhere – and then you have to pipe it carefully around the edge of your cake so it drips down just right… Professionals make this kind of thing look easy, but if you’re a cake decorating novice or just want the ‘wow!’ without any worry, this bottle will give you the look in seconds.

Ready to use straight from the bottle

Just twist the nozzle, hold the bottle over your cake and squeeze – it’s that simple. For the best results, place your iced or frosted cake on a turntable, hold the bottle over the edge and squeeze at regular intervals as you move your hand round the cake, rotating the turntable as you go. Once all the drips are done, simply fill in the middle of the cake and then spread with a spatula to get a nice even coating.
