Ice Cream Cone Cupcakes Recipe

You love cake!

The sun is shining and you really want to eat a treat, what do you do? 

How about making this very easy Ice Cream Cone Cakes recipe.

It is easy, fun, and delicious. Have a Go!

 Ingredients:
12 Flat-bottomed ice cream cones
200g Softened butter
200g Plain flour
4 tbsp Custard powder
Vanilla flavouring
200g golden caster sugar
2 Large eggs, beaten

To Decorate :
350g Butter softened
350g Icing sugar, sifted
Vanilla flavouring or experiment with different flavours !! 
Sugar Sprinkles To Decorate 

Method

  1. Heat your oven to 180C/160C fan/gas 4. Stand the cones in a muffin tin to hold them upright
  2. Put the butter, flour, custard powder, vanilla, sugar and eggs in a large mixing bowl
  3. Beat together with an electric whisk until smooth
  4. Fill the cones with the cake batter to approx 3/4 full
  5. Bake the filled cones, on the tray for approx 30 mins (don't worry the cones will be fine in the oven) or until a skewer poked into the centre of the cake comes out clean
  6. Leave to cool
To decorate the cakes
  1. Beat the butter until smooth, then add the icing sugar and vanilla, and beat again until well mixed.
  2. Put into a piping bag fitted with a big star nozzle (1M or 2D)
  3. Pipe icing on top of each cake as you would a cupcake
  4. Decorate with sprinkles, cherries, 100's & 1000's – whatever you fancy.
